Vampire Poem Competition Winner, Summer 2016

I ran a competition on my facebook page for fans to write their own vampire poem. These were my favourites:

They say the night is old
But we are older,
But the days have gone
And we live no longer

We breathe no longer,
We dream no longer,
Mortal pleasures satisfy us no longer.

Everyone wants to be us, they are so eager
But the burden of our lives is way bigger
Within us a little humanity may linger
But when hungry we are gentle no longer.

In the midst of night we hunt our prey,
You should fair us go and pray,
But as sun comes up we sleep all day,
In our tombs rotting and decaying.
